Cleaning Your Furnace Filter
Cleaning your electrostatic filter is easy. It only takes a few minutes to clear off the dirt and grime.
Every month follow these easy steps:
- Remove the air filter
- Flush with water in the opposite direction of the air flow arrow (on the side of the filter)
- Rinse the other side
- Spray with Zap cleaner or Formula 409 degreaser to remove stubborn stains on both sides of the filter
- Rinse thoroughly to remove remaining dirt and degreaser
- Drain excess water, let air dry, and reinstall filter
To alleviate washing and drying the air filter immediately, it is wise to buy two of them.
